The Deeper Voice of Textiles Project As part of its Community relations activities in the Hunter region in Australia, Regain is a major sponsor for The Deeper Voice of Textiles Project in Newcastle. This is a unique project where 20 iconic Newcastle businesses, that primarily employ men, will create work that celebrates the skills of their trade. The project will establish new partnerships and connections between local iconic businesses which employ men by providing an opportunity for participating businesses to be involved in a uniquely innovative project activating their creativity. Following an exhibition, the sculptures will be displayed in the participating local business that created them, resulting in an engaging artist trail of ‘man made art’. Key Project Outcomes are: A series of workshops for local participants Creation of artworks for exhibition Expected number of participants Creation of a 3-day event for display and activation Local businesses participating in the project Improved visitation through exhibition and art trail.
